Why Churches deny the gift of curing the disease

Why Churches deny the gift of curing the disease Recently submitted an application in a Christian forum asking why so few churches practice anointing with oil to heal the sick (see James 5:14). This is a good question. An even better question is why so many Christians struggle with the reasons given for why your church does not practice anointing with oil? Struggle of the Christians, because, of course, James 5:14 is part of the Reserve Basa our faith upon.Agree or disagree, the lack of healing ministries of the Church sanctioned the number one reason why the majority of Christian churches are stagnant or die. This is a bold statement coming from a Christian minister with a very structured, strict and fundamentalist background.Allow I put on my marketing hat for a moment to illustrate my point. People involved in marketing have long known the best way to market goods and services is done through the eyes of the customer. Customers could care less about the characteristics (eg, the doctrine of the Church), what customers want are the benefits (like me). If you supply a church is no different from what the world (of people) at the time of purchase (eg, secular medicine, social services, community groups), why wait for a world church in a hurry? Of course, there is no need to save souls, but the world in search of the church is compared to the world and does not see anything different, or strong enough to attract them. Talking Bible, Jesus understood this principle and marketing. No, Jesus did not heal to attract people to your message. He has healed, because he is a healer and his mission is to heal the sick: to restore the integrity of the people free from Satan effects. For years ago I had this truth. I was taught that Jesus healed to prove that he is the Son of God. " Make sure that Jesus is the Son of God, but to show itself was not the main reason that healed the sick. Jesus healed the sick, because the healing is what Jesus does. God is our healer through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen! (See Exodus 15:26, Isaiah 53:4-5) When Jesus appeared for the first time on stage with his ministry, which was what the producers of Broadway today to call a hit! As the news spread of his teaching and healing, people are literally invaded. And why not? The message that Jesus brought the world is something that nobody had ever heard of. He proclaimed the kingdom of God near, and then did something more surprising. He healed people? As many as could come. The lesson is clear. God is the breaking of the physical world (in the affairs of men) to heal. Jesus never wavered in this teaching. He preached the Kingdom of God and heal the studies sick. The plus a ministry of Jesus, the more one is aware of the importance of Jesus in healing the sick. For almost a fifth of the four Gospel accounts is devoted to Jesus? healing and the discussions raised by it. Indeed, the emphasis on healing is greater than any other experience in narrative.Out of 3779 verses in the four Gospels, 727 relate specifically to the healing of physical and mental illness and the resurrection of the dead. And the healings that are recorded are only a small fraction of the total (John 20:30). Comparison with the 165 verses that deal in general with the eteal life. What tries to 2000 years ago, is what people are looking for healing ... today! Never mind that the Church's doctrine prevents many churches of the anointing of the sick with oil. Churches to understand the true nature of Jesus and the need for # 1 in the world today, continue to remove people who seek.Jim Lynn is a minister in the Church of Christ, and author of The miracle of healing in the Church today.
