What should I do to be saved
What should I do to be saved One of the most important issues to be resolved today is the title of this article: "What must I do to be saved? "The answer to this question is important for those who profess to be Christians and sinners alike. Why? Because the answer is contained in the Bible and be specific. The main goal of our ministry is waing to those who profess to be followers of Christ to be "protagonists of the Word", or as the NIV does not just listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what he says. "(James 1:22) Let me paraphrase this another way:" Do not listen to what they taught to men, and let it fool. Do what the word says. "Some men try to pretend that all you have to do to be saved is to" ask the name of the Lord. "Even shows a" sinner prayer "to pray and have prayed for a declaration that the prayer," Thank God you are saved now! "But this is what the Bible teaches? The script is used to show that this teaching is Romans 10:13 where Paul says, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." I once heard a wise preacher say: "If you ever put an 'interpretation of Scripture that seem to make another bad act, then you have the wrong interpretation." Romans 10:13 a.m. Let's review to see what is really the teaching of Paul. First you need to know who was the teaching of Paul in the book of Romans. The correct interpretation of Scripture, you need to know to whom the message was given. In Romans, Paul is teaching Christians in the church of Rome, which had former Jews and Gentiles. Therefore, the book of Romans is a treatise on some things that should be considered by both Jews and Gentiles. The tenth chapter shows that Israel has rejected Christ, but that does not mean that Jews can not accept Christ. In verse twelve o'clock Paul writes: "Since there is no distinction between Greeks and Jews, for the same Lord of all, rich to all who ask." In other words, both Hebrew and greek (Gentile) can call the Lord for salvation. Even if a Jew or a Gentile seeks salvation through Christ based on the teachings of the New Testament, who will receive salvation. Paul then reiterated what he said in verse, saying twelve thirteen in verse, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. "In other words, it makes no difference whether you are a Jew or a Gentile, if we ask God for salvation, you will receive salvation. Now, please bear in mind that Paul was not teaching on the topic of how to receive salvation, but who is eligible to receive salvation. There are many other "plans" for the salvation, which was developed by men. Some say there is a need for "special feeling", others say they have to "pray" and yet some other form of man with the qualifications to receive salvation. No one here on earth there will never be a plan of salvation for equality, or to be used in place of the plan that Christ gave us. The New Testament gives us the plan of salvation given to the apostles of Christ and was practiced by them throughout their ministries. So what is the plan of salvation? The plan of salvation consists of five phases, which are necessary for the person to receive salvation and the possible gain reward of eteal life with Jesus Christ. These five stages are: belief, repentance, confession, baptism, and true life. I think the belief or faith is the first step in receiving salvation. Paul in his epistle to the Romans, which says a lot, "How then calls him in those who have not believed. "(Romans 10:14 a.m. a) How do we develop this faith or belief in Christ? Paul follows the passage above, saying: "And how can they believe in him, and have never heard of it? And how, without hearing a preacher? "(Romans 10:14 a.m. b), and," So faith comes to the hearing, and hearing by the word of God. " "(Romans 10:17) So we see that it comes to a realization that God really exists and that He is able to do what He has promised to listen to the word of God." Of course, this usually happens by listening to a preacher, Sunday school teacher, the study of the Bible, or other means of leaing what God tells us in his word. This should be obvious, but I would say that in any case, faith (or belief) is absolutely necessary if we are to receive salvation. How can we be with Him, which is invisible, and whose chief rewards are beyond this present life, unless you believe that God exists and that life eteal. We see this explicitly in the Bible: "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for He who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarded of those who diligently search for the man. "(Heb 11.6), also read the Bible must be our faith in Jesus Christ", but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and faith, they have life in his name. "(John 20:31) The faith was preached by the apostles," So we said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you'll have to be saved, you and your family. "(Acts 16:31), Jesus emphasized the same faith, when he said:" Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. "(Mark 16:16) Repentance The result of the faith that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God is repentance. Not just saying, "We are sorry for the sins that I committed," but a deep sense of remorse for the knowledge that we have not been pleasing to God. " In the same way that faith is not merely intellectual agree that God exists, repentance is not simply to recognize that we sin and saying: "Sorry." Let's compare for a moment a child who was caught breaking the rules their parents. One can say that has broken the rule, and can (probably) said: "I'm sorry and I will not do more." But his real motivation may be to avoid the punishment that his parents would be advised if disobeyed. However, given the opportunity, can break the rule again, and not feel any guilt if you do not fall again. This is not repentance. On the other hand, if the child realizes that his disobedience has caused their parents grieve (as our disobedience to God), and decides that going to do better than their parents do not break the rules again, which means He has shown remorse. The same goes for us when we become Christians. We must be repentant of our sins to God, and try not to repeat our mistakes in the future. After repentance is a change of heart and mind. If you do not change the way we live, we have not regretted it. Unless there is a tendency in ethics and values in our lives was the lack of repentance. Repentance is a command in the Bible: "Truly, these times of God, overlooks ignorance, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man who ordered. He gave this assurance to all by him from raising the dead. "(Acts 17:30,31) It 'a waing. Jesus said: "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, all perish as well. "(Luke 13:3) The message of the Gospel of repentance occurs. When Peter preached to the people on the day of Pentecost, said: "Repent and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "(Acts 2:38) We read this same account of the fact that thousands were added to the church that day. The love of God for us also produces repentance in our hearts and lives. It is not very necessary to study the Bible to understand how much God really loves us. The love of God for his creation, man, through the Bible. Romans 2:4 makes this emphasis: "O you despise the riches of his goodness, patience, patience and, not knowing that the goodness of God leads to repentance? "Confession of a person who shows that he is ashamed of Christ, or is known as a Christian, when he confessed before men. We see in the book of Romans that the confession must be made with the mouth, "that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead will be saved. For with the heart is believed to justice, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. "(Romans 10:9,10) We also see that the confession must be of Christ, or who believe that Jesus is the Christ. In Matthew, Jesus was asked his disciples who people said it was. Then it says: "He (Jesus) said to them:" But I say I am? "And Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. ' "(Matthew 16:15,16) It' must, before witnesses. "Fight the good fight of faith, set to conclude in the eteal life to which they have been called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. "(1 Timothy 6:12) and, finally, the confession must precede baptism. In the preaching of Philip the Ethiopian eunuch, we found that Ethiopia has made his first confession, Philip baptizes him. This account is in Acts 8:35-38. Baptism is necessary to come into contact with the death of Christ. This is done through baptism. Baptism is a death to sin or a next life in Christ. It 'also the image of death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Baptism is commanded by Christ, as seen in Mark 16:16: "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." It is also practiced by the apostles. In the book of Acts (which could also be called "the book of conversions), there are eight cases of people being saved. By all accounts, baptism is part of the person or persons who have been saved. For example, in Acts 2:41 we read this passage: "Then those who received his word were baptized and happy that day about three thousand souls were added to them." Read each of the eight accounts: Jews in Whitsun .......... Acts 2:36-38 The Samaritans ............... Acts 8:12-13 The Ethiopian Eusuch ...... Acts 8:35-39 Coelius (1st Hi) ..... Acts 10:34-48 Lydia .............................. Acts 16:14-15 The jailer ........................ Acts 16:25-34 I Corinthians ............... Acts 18:6-8 Ephesians ................. Acts 19:1-5 Paul ................................ At 22:16 baptism brings forgiveness of sins: "And now why are you waiting for? Arise and be baptized and wash your sins, invoking the name of the Lord. "(Acts 22:16) And also, baptism saves us:" There is also an antitype which now saves us, namely baptism (not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience to God ) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. "(1 Peter 3:21) The real life through faith, repentance, confession and baptism, we received the salvation promised by God through His Son Jesus Christ. But this is not that the process stops. In some respects, it is only the beginning. We must continue to live faithfully. To pursue vigorously the faithful in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, communion in observation, and prayer. (See Acts 2:42) We should study our Bible. A daily walk through the word of God is important for spiritual growth. We must grow in the fruit of the Spirit. (See Galatians 5:22,23) We need to be a soul winner, who share our faith in Christ with others. We must have the Christian virtues. (See 2 Peter 1:5 - 8) You must worship God with ordinary people. (See Hebrews 10:25) What you must do to be saved? The answer, as shown in the New Testament is faith (or belief), repentance, confession, baptism, and true life long life. If you do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, please consider carefully what you read here. Being a Christian is a wonderful life. All scriptures are quoted from the New King James Version, unless otherwise indicated.
