Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity Not long ago, in an attempt to witness to many people via e-mail across networks, I made a statement regarding what is my faith. As part of this statement, I said that I believe in the Trinity: God the Father, the Son of God and God the Holy Spirit. One of the people to whom I tried to witness to the Jewish faith and rejected the concept of the Trinity. Holy Trinity is fully supported in Scripture in the Old Testament and New Testament. In this article I would like to share some of these scriptures and their way of proclaiming the existence of God in three persons. The idea of the Trinity is the beginning of the Bible, Genesis 1:26: "Then God said," Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and the birds of the sky, and the livestock, over all the earth and everything that creeps on the earth strip. "As you can see here, God says:" Let us make man in our image. . . "To say that (humans) are made in the image of God and others. We know from reading Scripture that the angels are different from us in many ways. The fact that the angels have no sex is one. Therefore, it is unlikely that God refers to himself and the angels in this passage. The Bible does not speak of other beings in the sky. The only conclusion we can draw from the use of the plural pronoun "We" it is God who refers to himself, with at least one other person or to a level with him. The plural pronoun "we" is also used in Genesis 3:22 where the Lord said, Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil. "Again, this indicates that there is more than one person in a deity. Those who reject the idea of a Holy Trinity generally accepted or have a certain faith in God, they believe that not only the Holy - Spirit of Jesus Christ and are part of God. " Therefore, you take a look to the Holy Spirit and the preexistence of Christ. The Holy Spirit, the references to "the Spirit of God," not lacking in the Old Testament. "The earth was without form and void, and darkness was the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God hovering above the water surface. "(Genesis 1:2) The first opportunity is the second verse of Genesis. We see here that God has been at least two different people? God the Father and God the Holy Spirit? at the beginning of creation. Many others refer to the Bible, the Holy Spirit in some way. Here are a few: "My Spirit" (Genesis 6:3), "the Spirit of God" (Genesis 41:38), "Your Spirit" (Psalms 51:11), "the Spirit of the Lord" (Isaiah 11:2), and "My Spirit that is upon you" (Isaiah 59:21). Throughout the Old Testament, we see these and many other references to the Holy Spirit. In the New Testament, we find that the Holy Spirit is fully explained, and we know in more detail the purpose of the Holy - Spirit in our lives. This is a blanket or aid for us, as Christians. The Holy Spirit was there when Jesus was conceived in the womb of Mary: "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before she met was found with the son of the Holy Spirit. "(Matthew 1:18) The Holy Spirit was there when Jesus came into circulation to the temptation of the devil," Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wildeess to be tempted by the devil. "(Matthew 4:1) The Holy Spirit was there when the need for advice of the apostles to preach the Gospel and to write the New Testament and do so without error," To the Holy Spirit teaches this same time what is has to say. "(Luke 12:12) Even if the Holy Spirit is present and active in the life and ministry of Jesus, this was not the only object that the Holy Spirit there would be. The Holy Spirit will fill another important role for God. " Jesus taught his disciples about the purpose of the Holy Spirit during his ministry. ? He who believes in me, as Scripture, his heart flow rivers of living water. "But he spoke of the Spirit, that those who believe in Him receive the Holy Spirit has not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. "(John 7:38,39)" And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another assistant, who abide with you May the Spirit of truth, that the world can not receive because it sees him nor knows him but you know, for he dwells with you and will be in you. "(John 14:16,17)" But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you everything you remember all that I have said. "(John 14:26)" But when the Helper comes, I send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me. "(John 15:26)" Behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you, but remain in the city of Jerusalem until you are endowed with power from on high. "(Luke 24:49) As you can see in these Scriptures chosen the Holy Spirit was given to the apostles to guide and direct how they established the church, preached the Gospel, and wrote the New Testament. Even those of us who have a perfect memory can not remember everything that is said and done. Of course, the fact that the apostles were taught by Christ and that saw the wonderful miracles that he will have the events differ in their memories more than the average event. However, human beings are not flawless when it comes to remember the events and teachings. It is therefore necessary for God to provide a means by which the Apostles are 100% perfect recall when he came to remember the teachings of Christ and the events that surrounded his ministry. God the Holy Spirit, provided they meet this need. But we too, we need the Holy Spirit today. As you try to live a faithful Christian life, is difficult. It 'difficult because of our constant bombardment sent by the temptations of Satan himself. We need guidance and direction to be able to resist these temptations and to "fight the good fight. "Once again, God has provided! He gave the Holy Spirit, to meet this need. How do we know that God has given us the Holy Spirit? For the Scriptures tell us: "Then Peter said to them:" Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "(Acts 2:38) For an excellent description of the Holy Spirit dwells in us, Christians read Romans chapter 8. The pre-existence of Jesus Christ was a prophet, a good man, a man of God, or is, in fact, the Son of God? If we believe in the Christian concept of the Holy Trinity, we must be able to prove that Christ existed as part of the Trinity, before coming to earth as Jesus The Old Testament is full of prophecies conceing the coming of Christ. There have written books and even more must be done in future on this aspect of Jesus Christ. The first prophecy in the Bible about the coming of Christ is found in Genesis 3:15, "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, between your offspring and her offspring, is the blue head and you will bruise his heel. "From this verse before they see the prophecies in Deuteronomy, 1 Samuel, Job, Psalms, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi. For above and more of these prophecies point to the coming of Christ: "The Spirit of the Lord rest upon him." (Isaiah 11:2) "For us a child is bo, to us a son is given . "(Isaiah 9:6)" So, was given dominion and glory and kingdom, that all peoples, nations and languages should serve him. "(Daniel 7:14) and" Rejoice greatly, o daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold your king is here. "(Zechariah 9:9) These are just some of the many prophecies of the coming of Christ. But the existence of Christ before his coming in the form of man? Again, there are many scriptures point out that the pre-existence of Christ. The Gospel of John makes it clear that Christ was the beginning of time. Here's what the book of John has to say about Christ: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." He was in the beginning with God. " All things were made by him and without him nothing was made that has been done. "(John 1:1-3) Jesus also said that it was in force before the date of his ministry here on earth:" Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, and he saw, and he is happy. "Then the Jews said to him, it was not yet fifty years and have seen Abraham? "Jesus said to them? Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am "." (John 8:56-58) There is another area of this debate will not be able to develop any reasonable measure. This region is the fact that the Old Testament has many different "types" of Christ. These people are the Old Testament, which share certain characteristics or attributes of Christ. They were only men, but their life, the next point to Christ. There have been many of those in the Old Testament. Perhaps we can develop in the future, these items. How to draw this story to a close, I believe that this argument was no justice there is more that can be said about the reality of the Holy Trinity. However, I hope I have given enough to strengthen your faith, and I invite you to explore this issue further. All the scriptures are the New King James Version, unless otherwise indicated.
