The Point of Passion

The Point of Passion I? I thought much of The Passion of Christ and last week we heard mixed reviews and comments with regard to most of the information presented in the film. I? I felt like the film? Anti-Semitic? and show how the Jewish people in a bad light for Christ to blame? S death. I? I heard that it is terribly violent during a preset in my hometown that had left countless theatergoers beginning of the film, as we could? do not have the brutality portrayed on screen. I? I have seen programs for the historical analysis of the film and how he dealt with the academic world, as always, to reject what Jesus did in his all too short life. I? I have seen interviews with Mel Gibson and the way in which the interviewer and the editor has tried to paint a negative picture of the director. Like all these scholars, joualists, and theatergoers also trying to do? In my opinion, completely missing the point. This film is not anti-Semitic. What? It is true that a small number of Jewish priests were partly responsible for Jesus? condemnation, as did the Roman authorities. But the small number of Jewish priests was alive 2000 years ago and has nothing, I repeat, nothing to do with the Jews of today, or even the Jews of 1000 years ago or even 50 years ago. Humanity and its sinful nature is responsible for Christ? s suffering and death. Not our fault, but one of ourselves. This film is violent. E 'reality. How are the people waiting for Christ? S crucifixion to be portrayed? They think it is a walk in the park, something that any human can endure? I urge people to leave, but not stay for the whole movie. Do not tu your eyes off the screen every time you Jesus? decreased from Roman whips. Do not tu your eyes every time a nail penetrates the skin. I challenge you to see every drop of his blood splatters on the ground. That you can actually see the blood shed by each and every one of us. Look deep in your eyes and hear through his pain, he felt great love of Christ for us. I challenge the academic institutions to stop analyzing every detail of the movie, stop the collection of more political, religious and even racial? facts? This film and begin to focus on the beauty of the passion itself, why was the case in the first place. For someone to go through what Christ lived and that we still have the strength to love, the passion to die for our sins, is remarkable. The depth of his love for us is limitless, and I believe that his passion is proof of that. The reason for the truth of his passion is the point, and so many people have lost.
