When I was young, before I was a Christian, I can remember hearing sermons more about how terrible it was to be in hell. I still remember some twenty years later in a sermon which the preacher has a detailed picture of hell and punishment of those who are. I still remember how I was when I heard that sermon - the fear that led to my mind. Another sermon that I still remember, was preaching the text today is the day of salvation that you should have a decision to follow Christ today - for a few days will be too late, and we will go to hell. I am sure that these sermons, as well as others, has had much to do with me, became a Christian twenty years ago. Part of my motivation was, in any case, in order to avoid the terrible place called hell. But now, as mature Christians, many hours of studying the Word of God, the worship of many services and wonderful in a position to know the beauty of my house, instead of thinking about the terrible hell as I see things in a way clearer now. I know that I have no words to describe how beautiful it is that the great experience and great love of God, His Son, the Holy Spirit, the saints of old, the loved ones of our families, and brothers and sisters in Christ, we have known here on Earth. I would like to see loved ones that have been before. I would like to visit the saints of old and share with them the victory of his life here on earth. I want the experience of love, peace and joy that the sky is the elimination of all the bad things we have to say in this life. And I want to bask in the glory of God forever! What is heaven?
