The study of the saints, and why it s important

The study of the saints, and why it s important Holiness? This is the title given by the Catholic Church seems to attract so much criticism of both faiths. The mere mention of it angers some people. E? S not the title itself, which attracts attention, but the dogma that prayer to the saints, it is useful to life. And while opponents of such an idea to try to distance themselves from the Catholic theology, which lose a great advantage of this? unpleasant? doctrine. Since venture further from Catholicism (as the Church is an ancestor annoying that people try to keep in wardrobe) establishing a real honor to holy men in the history of the Church. The simple study of their pious it becomes a sin, and only washed their books of history are those? result was only the extreme opposition to Catholicism. And ignoring the lives of saints, not leaving them with a terrible empty? who should? I was filled with an incredible gift from God. " This gift is not it? T as the greatness of the men and women who have dedicated their lives for the greater glory of God (and the good fruit that comes from this), but the display of the diversity in God? Church. How to study the life of Jesus (and try to imitate him), has l? always seductive temptation to give up, because he was God and can not be God, how can we hope to replicate these holiness. But for the study of saints, we can t always focus on the man ... but for the specific characteristics of a man. Pope John Paul II, for example (which I hope to receive the title of a couple of days), we had an attitude of peace and promotion of a? culture of life?. Yes, he was intelligent, prayer, holy, and all other marks of a saint. But the story (even if you could speak these other things) are always the starting point of its achievements in promoting peace and unity. The Church will always be seen as a shining example of what man should be peaceful. Someone with a penchant for anger still see his life as a source of inspiration. A quick look at the lives of the saints reveals thousands of these characteristics. St. Thomas Aquinas was the intellectual giant. St. Francis of Assisi, he showed us how to live a life of poverty. S. Catherine of Siena reflects a deep love for Christ. St. Beadette? S simplicity (and obedience) gives us an excellent example of what God can do through unlikely. As each of these great saints have virtues in life, these virtues are a weakness or tendency that we have? again forced to fight with our lives. Who? contemplate their lives. Not only by example and inspiration, but because it means that under such perfection possible? even for someone without a divine nature.
